Synopsis:
Some military scientists breed aliens from a reconstructed Ripley. The
aliens get out and cause some shit! good eats baby.
Review:
This was the bottom of the barrel when it comes to the alien films. I
have always felt that the films should have ended with the third one.
Not to say that there wasn't anything good about the movie. Let's face
it, this film has one of the best ass shots in film history without going
to porno. It also has some cool characters. I enjoyed the mercenaries
and even Winona Ryder added a little twist.
This was the first
alien movie that used high quality CGI (computer generated images) to
create the aliens. This was a good thing and a bad thing. First the good,
the aliens looked like money! They could do so much more now like swim
through water. Yet this is also the bad. The other alien films were great
because the audience hardly saw the aliens. That's what makes it creepy.
Another thing that pissed me off was the one-liners. Hey look every one,
Ripley has turned into the Terminator.
Special Features :
BALLS!
The boys over at 20th Century got bored with this film quick. The Featurette
was a load of horse shit. It was all of 6 minutes. Yeah thanks guys, oh,
and when you put the interviews with the cast and crew on the disc, make
sure most of the interviews come directly from the featurette.
Video:
The video on this disc was great. And the special effects really shine
because of it. I personally love the very wide aspect ratio that this
disc offers. Unfortunately that's all this disc offers.
Audio:
The audio was outstanding. Lets face it, it was 5.1! Things are moving
all around you constantly, making things just a wee bit creepy.
