Synopsis:
Batman introduces himself to Gotham City by stopping the Joker.

Review:
Holly shit BATMAN, this movie sucks! And there are two reasons why.

The story is fucking stupid. It's beyond me why they made this shit movie, when they could have adapted classic stories like Arkham Asylum, The Cult, Subway Jack or The Killing Joke (the best Joker story of all time) for the big screen. Take it from me (a fan of the Batman comics and graphic novels), this movie should in no way represent the Dark Night.

Tim Burton. I'm sorry, but I can't stand this fucking guy. I've never liked his style, and I never will. I guy with scissors for hands? Smoke another bowl Timmy boy!

On the plus side, Nicholson does a respectable portrayal of the Joker and Keaton is the best of the Batmen (although I can't wait to see what Ben Affleck does with the role in the next movie). And it was nice to see that Lando got some work after Jedi.

Special Features :
Cast Bios and production notes are all you get with this DVD. Do yourself a favour and leave 'em in the Bat Cave. Their not worth the time it takes to read them.

Video:
The video transfer on this DVD is the worst I've ever seen on a major studio release. There are white dots and scratches throughout the entire movie. The boys over at Warner Bros. really screwed the pooch on this one.

Audio:
The Dolby 5.1 one soundtrack is a double-edged sword. Although it delivers great sound, it also delivers all of the stupid dialogue of this lame story.

"Have you ever danced with the Devil in the pale moon light? I ask that off all my prey. I just like the sound of it." - The Joker
