Synopsis:
A day in the life of some 70’s teenagers.

Review:
Dazed and Confused is to the 70’s what American Graffiti was to the 50’s. That said, this movie is simply entertainment. So don’t expect any life changing messages or moral themes. There is a sub-plot surrounding drug use, but it’s on the back burner for most of the movie. I felt it was tacked-on to provide an ending to the film, but I’m fucking stupid like that.

What I enjoyed most about this movie were the scenes in which the Seniors are hazing the Niners. It looked like good clean fun to me (of course I’m speaking from a “Seniors” point of view).

Special Features :
The special features on this DVD were fucked up. It say’s in the accompanying booklet that there are production notes, cast & filmmakers’ bios and the theatrical trailer. So where the fuck are they?

The only thing I could find where the production notes, and a filmography of Director Richard Linklater (which was pretty fucking pathetic). I think those stupid motherfuckers over at Universal got into the spirit of this film too much while coding this DVD. Do us favour next time guys, smoke the bowl after work in the future.

Video and Audio:
On the positive side the video transfer is nice and clean, and the Dolby 5.1 sound beats the hell out of any 8-track I’ve ever heard.

“I’m sorry, Ma’am. I was just escorting your fine young son home from school. There’s some ruffians about and I… Oh, and a, Mitch, Carl, we’ll be seeing each other again. Oh, that’s it! I fucking saw that you little sack of shit! You two are fucking dead! You hear me? You’re fucking dead! Arghh!” - O'Bannion
