Synopsis:
Ex-cop has stroke and gets signing lessons from drag queen. Hardy har har!
Review:
Before I start I just want to get one thing clear. I don't own this DVD.
I decided to support the movement, so I rented this from Rogers. Not a
bad deal. Now back to the review. I really didn't like this movie at all.
I'm a huge Bobby D. fan, but I couldn't stand this fucking movie.
Hands down, De Niro
does it up. The whole limp face thing, it was great. I've seen victims
of strokes and I think Bobby D. nailed it. The Philip Seymour Hoffman
also does a good job of playing a drag queen. The acting wasn't really
the problem. It was more the situations that arose. I just couldn't dig
it. It's more a movie you'd get to show a chick you got a soft side before
you show her your hard side. If you know what I mean.
Another thing that I
didn't like about this film was the director, Joel Schumacher. With his
list of movies contain 8mm, Batman and Robin, Batman Forever, The client,
and dying young. Lets face it, this mofo hasn't made a good movie since
falling down, and some would say "Flatliners" or "The Lost Boys".
Special Features :
I'd like to use this space to totally waste your time. Cuz that's what
the special features on this disc were. A total waste of fucking time.
In fact they should of just released this movie on tape and kept it there.
I can't believe that horse shit like this still gets released. Someone
over at MGM better take their thumb out of their ass and make sure something
like this doesn't happen again.
Video:
The transfer was great. Everything looked sharp and straight even if they
weren't acting it. I didn't notice any artifacts in the picture. At least
they got something right on this disc.
Audio:
Well, it's only Dolby Digital 2.0. But it's not like planes were flying
across the screen or anything. The movie is dialogue based and that comes
out clear. Although this makes the movie have a mono feel to it.

lives on "won't" street." Rusty
